Sugar scrub!

Those expensive #sugarscrubs you see in department stores and spas… they cost #pennies to make! Sugar scrubs are a simple beauty recipe with limitless variations, and they can be incredibly #nourishing and #exfoliating to the skin.
Here is one of my favorites!      

Use 2 parts sugar (regular white or brown sugar work great) to 1 part oil (almond, olive and coconuts are great), add 1/2 tsp Vitamin E oil (or the gel from a few capsules), add other optional ingredients, and mix well.
Sound simple? It is!

Ingredients
·         2 Tbsp sour cream
·         1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
·         2 Tbsp honey

Here is a awesome facial that will brighten your face up!

Combine 2 Tbsp sour cream with 2 Tbsp honey and 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice. Apply to your cleansed face and leave on for 20 minutes. Rinse with water (not cold water). This mask can be done twice a week. This mask heals, exfoliates, brightens and moisturizes skin.

Banana & Olive Oil Mask for Damaged Hair
If you have hair damaged from chemicals (perms, hair straightening or hair coloring), hair tool use (flat irons, curling irons or blow dryers) or chlorine and the sun, try this banana and olive oil mask to help fix those damaged tresses.
Ingredients:
  • ·         1 banana
  • ·         1 tablespoon of olive or coconut oil (you can also use almond oil)
  • ·         shower cap



Preparation:
Put ingredients in a blender and blend until combined into a paste.
Add a dash of flour if paste is too runny.
Separate hair into 3 sections.
Apply mask to each section from roots to ends.

Wind hair into a loose bun if long and place a shower cap over hair. Keep it on for 30 minutes and then rinse out.

 You can spend up to $60 on a fancy body scrub. Why buy when you can make a homemade body scrub out of basic ingredients yourself? Below is a great body scrub. Enjoy!

This green tea and ginger root sugar scrub works as a wonderful body scrub. Use it in the shower.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup of brewed green tea
  • 2 cups sugar (I use plain refined sugar because it won't pull or tear skin)
  • 3 tbsp fresh, grated ginger

Happy Sunday Funday everyone!

If you’re looking for a quick pick-me-up that will leave you feeling and looking better, give yourself an oatmeal facial.

Oatmeal Facial Masks


Ingredients
-1/2 cup of hot water (not boiling)
-1/3 cup of oatmeal
-2 tablespoons plain yogurt
-2 tablespoons honey
-1 small egg white
 Combine 1/2 cup hot—not boiling—water and 1/3 cup oatmeal. 
After the water and oatmeal have settled for two or three minutes, mix in 2 tablespoons plain yogurt, 2 tablespoons honey, and 1 small egg white.
 Apply a thin layer of the mask to your face, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with warm water.

Having dry skin?


 It is so cold outside! Don’t let the weather get to you. Cold weather can dry out the skin. Here is a great and easy facial for dry skin.
Ingredients
-1 avocado
-1/2 teaspoon lemon juice  
-1 egg white







 Directions

-Combine all ingredients to a paste. Apply to skin and wait for it to dry, rinse with cool water. How easy was that!
